How the tax works. 35% on net taxable income of Colombian source (Tax Statute art. 247), which with no deductions equals the gross rent. Where the tenant is a withholding agent the 20% rental withholding (art. 408) is final (art. 592), which is the lower end of the band; a private tenant is not a withholding agent, so the owner files at 35%.
